Green Distribution’s screen printing facility is located in Secaucus, NJ (5-miles outside of NYC) with 13 automatic screen printing machines and four manuals. It is one of the largest screen printing facilities on the East Coast. GD prints apparel for some of the most recognizable brands in the world, including Harley-Davidson, Universal Music, and Nike, amongst others.
Green Distribution prints over 40,000 units each day and along with standard plastisol and water-based screen printing has the ability to do the following techniques:
The crackle effect is an ink system that produces an intentional cracked surface after drying.
Discharge ink is used to print lighter colors onto dark background fabrics, they work by removing the dye of the garment – this means they leave a much softer texture. These are especially good for distressed prints and gives the garment that natural soft feel.
Expanding Ink (Puff)
Expanding ink, or puff, is an additive to plastisol inks which raises the print off the garment, creating a 3D feel and look to the design. Mostly used when printing on apparel.
Flocking consists of a glue printed onto the fabric and then flock material is applied for a velvet touch.
Foil is much like flock, but instead of a velvet touch and look it has a reflective/mirror look to it.
Glitter or Shimmer ink is when metallic flakes become an additive in the ink base to create this sparkle effect. Available in all colors.
Gloss ink is when a clear base laid over previously printed inks to create a shiny finish.
Metallic ink is similar to glitter, but smaller particles giving a metallic look and feel.
Mirrored silver is a highly reflective ink.
With a full art department that can create artwork from customer’s ideas, edit artwork sent to GD or simply separate for clean printing and screen room in house, Green Distribution is positioned to print both small and large scale runs easily and efficiently.
